WNCC will hold girl's basketball camp in June

Western Nebraska Community College will hold a girl’s basketball camp June 20-23 at Cougar Palace in Scottsbluff.
The camp is for girls in grades first through ninth grade and will run from 9 a.m. – 12 noon all four days. The cost of the camp is $50 and includes a T-shirt.
Women’s basketball coach Dave Harnish, who has guided the Cougar women for the past 23 years, said the camp is designed to give campers a competitive opportunity to develop the fundamental skills of basketball. The camp will teach the camper basics such as passing, shooting, dribbling and pivoting.  The camp will also deal with offensive and defensive situations.
Harnish, assistant coach Ipek Turkyilmaz, and former and current Cougar players will instruct the camp.
Camp brochures are available at the WNCC athletic office or can be downloaded from the Cougar athletic website at sports.wncc.net. For more information on the camp, contact Harnish at 308-635-6027 or dharnish@wncc.net.
