WNCC to hold a youth dance camp on Feb. 18 and 19

Western Nebraska Community College will be holding a second Cougirlz Dance Camp for girls ages preschool to sixth grade. The first camp, which was held in January, drew nearly 25 youngsters.
This second camp will be held Friday, Feb. 18 from 3:45-7 p.m. in Cougar Palace. The participants will perform at halftime of the WNCC and Otero Junior College men’s basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 19. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
The camp is designed to give campers a competitive opportunity to develop the fundamental skills of dancing and sportsmanship. The camp will teach and focus on basic skill development, a fun dance routine, and a cheer.
Campers will be divided based on age and skill level. The cost of the camp is $25 before Feb. 14, which includes a T-shirt. Registration is $35 after that date or at the door. The cost for returning campers from the first camp who don’t need a shirt is $18.
