WNCC holding baseball pitching league

Western Nebraska Community College will hold a competitive pitching league beginning March 21 for five nights. The league is open to boys ages 10-18 and costs $50 per pitcher.
The league will run March 21, March 28, April 4, April 11 and April 18 and be held in the evening at the Cougar’s Indoor hitting facility, located at Comm Shop 6 just south of East Overland on 2nd Avenue in Scottsbluff.
The pitchers will be paired up in groups of two and age. The pitchers will play games of “Pitching Tic-Tac-Toe” to develop skills of locating pitchers. Feedback and coaching will be done by Cougars head coach Mike Jones, Cougar assistant and pitching coach Ryan Burgner, Gering Junior Legion coach Doug Jones, and current Cougar pitchers and catchers.
The league is limited to the first 48 pitchers. The league is designed for baseball players to work on their skills and have some fun competing against their friends.
Sign-up forms are available at the WNCC athletic office or they can be downloaded from WNCC athletic website at sports.wncc.net.
For more information on the camp, contact Mike Jones at 308-635-6198 or email at jonesm@wncc.net.
