WNCC men sweep through Ambassador Classic, go to 5-0 on the season

The WNCC men's basketball team went to 5-0 on the season with a defensive battle against Neosho County Community College in the final day of the Ambassador Classic in Colby, Kan. The Cougars won 58-57.

Both teams didn't shoot lights out. WNCC shot just 29 percent from the field, while Neosho shot 27 percent.

WNCC's 5-0 start is the first time the Cougars have started the season since the 2004-05 year when the Cougars ran off 24 straight wins, including a No. 1 ranking in the nation.

The Cougar men will be back in action Nov. 16-18 when they travel to the Air Force Prep tournament where they will face Otero on Friday, Garden City on Saturday and Air Force Prep on Sunday.
