WNCC signs Widick to softball letter of intent

Platte Valley senior standout Kimberly Widick will continue playing softball after a stellar career on the diamond for the Broncos.

Widick has signed to play softball for Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb.

Widick was a talented hitter and shortstop for the Broncos (17-7), who advanced to the 3A state semifinals for the first time in program history this past fall.

After her strong senior season, Widick was named an all-Patriot League selection and was an all-state honorable mention by The Denver Post.

Widick will be a shortstop and utility player for Western Nebraska, which was 43-21 last season.
