The Western Nebraska Community College and Lamar Community College baseball game scheduled for Saturday at Cleveland Field has been moved up a day to Friday, March 6 to beat the weather. First pitch for the Region IX conference doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m.
WNCC coach Mike Jones said Victor Rubio will start game one, while Ben Doran will get the nod in game two. Lamar is 2-0 in conference and 6-7 overall, while WNCC is 0-2 in conference and 5-10 overall.
WNCC's conference doubleheader with Otero Junior College is still scheduled for Sunday at noon at Cleveland Field.
