The Omaha World Herald All-Nebraska Basketball teams have been announced and WNCC's Chelsea Lyles was tabbed the women's captain of the first team. Lyles is the only Cougar on the first team for Junior Colleges.
Several players made the second team. For the women's team who captured the regional tournament and went 2-2 at nationals, Tawny Drexler and Emma Beddome were listed. Also, Alison Cheney and Jenna Colwell received honorable mention status.
On the men's side, North Platte's Joseph Ogubula was honorary captain. Kelvin Franklin and Deividas Busma earned second team honors for Western Nebraska, while Drew Eisinger and Daniel Smith earned honorable mention status.
