The Western Nebraska Community College baseball and softball teams will have “A Weekend with Cougar Softball and Baseball” during the weekend of April 17-18.Area youth involved in 23 Club baseball in Scottsbluff, Gering Organized baseball, 23 Club softball, and the Gering Girls Softball Association can get autographs and pictures, play catch or just hang out with the players during the weekend series.
Softball players in GGSA and 23 Club can spend time with the Cougar softball players after their game on Saturday, April 17 when they battle Otero Junior College in a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.
Baseball players in 23 Club can spend time with the Cougar baseball team after their game on Saturday, April 17. Players in GO Baseball will be afforded the same opportunity on Sunday, April 18. The Cougar baseball team will host Otero Junior College both days.
The baseball games are slated for a 1 p.m. start on Saturday and noon on Sunday.
The baseball team plays at Cleveland Field in Scottsbluff, while the softball team plays at Volunteer Field, which is located behind Cleveland Field.
