The Western Nebraska Community College volleyball team will have a public send off on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 11:30 a.m. in the pit area of the college. The Cougars will depart for their 11th straight National Tournament appearance at 12 noon on Tuesday. The national tournament will take place in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The send off will include congratulatory messages from WNCC President Dr. Eileen Ely, athletic director Jennifer Pedersen and volleyball coach Giovana Melo. The public is invited to attend the send off.
The Cougars will open the national title hunt Thursday at 10 a.m. (MST) against Wallace State-Hanceville. WNCC enters the tournament with a 39-3 record, while Wallace State has a 34-4 record.
