WNCC, NJC women's game is Play 4Kay Night; team wants fans to wear pink

The Western Nebraska Community College and Northeastern Junior College women’s basketball game this Saturday will have a special night in honor of Kay Yow, former North Carolina State women’s basketball coach.
Coaches and players are asking spectators to support breast cancer awareness by wearing pink to the game in honor of "Play for Coach Kay." Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. WNCC coaches and players will also be wearing something pink to bring awareness to breast cancer awareness and the national Play 4Kay initiative, formerly known as WBCA Pink Zone).
Play 4Kay is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $2 million to support women's cancer research. The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is the official charity of the initiative.
